Resident Evil 7 Guides: Crafting

Resident Evil 7 is available now and since we’ve had our hands on it for a while, we’ve put together some quick guides to help you out if you get stuck, need some help or to just give you or tips on how to get the best from the game.

A word of warning though, these guides are like to contain SPOILERS, so if you’ve yet to play or finish the game you might be best holding off. If you’re not one to worry too much, keep on reading.

As you’re probably aware, Resident Evil 7 includes a crafting system. While it’s pretty simple we’ve collected all the information we know about it for you in one handy place.

1. Craftable Items

There are a total of eight craftable items in the game and some are far more useful than others. You can create;

  • First Aid Med
  • Strong First Aid Med
  • Handgun Ammo
  • Enhanced Handgun Ammo
  • Burner Fuel
  • Flame Rounds
  • Psychostimulants; and
  • Nerve Rounds

Each craftable item is a combination of either Chem Fluid or Strong Chem Fluid and another ingredient. First Aid requires Herbs, Ammo requires Gunpowder, Fuel and Flame Rounds require Solid Fuel and Psychostimulants and Nerve Rounds require supplements.

The formulas are as follows;

Herb + Chem Fluid = First Aid Med

Herb + Strong Chem Fluid = Strong First Aid Med

Gunpowder + Chem Fluid = Handgun Ammo

Gunpowder + Strong Chem Fluid = Enhanced Handgun Ammo

Solid Fuel + Chem Fluid = Burner Fuel

Solid Fuel + Strong Chem Fluid = Flame Rounds

Supplements + Chem Fluid = Psychostimulants

Supplements + Strong Chem Fluid = Nerve Rounds

The crafting system doesn’t just let you create objects though. It also lets you break them down. By combining items with Seperating Fluid, you’re able to reclaim Chem Fluid from unneeded objects. If you have lots of ammo but no First Aid you can simply break down 10 Handgun rounds to get one Chem Fluid.

Once you’ve crafted every item you’ll unlock the “First Prize at the Science Fare” Trophy/Achievement.
