Outriders’ fourth class is the Technomancer

During today’s Outriders Broadcast #3, the fourth and final class in the game was revealed. The Technomancer is a broody, sad boi introduced with an excellent emo voiceover, all dark, serious and poignant.

I have become terror. The unseen predator. A rupture that obliterates without warning. Alone, the hordes of Enoch will fall before me. Together, this entire planet will fear us. The anomaly alters us each in our own ways. Yet we are drawn down the same road into the dark heart of creation.

We’ll find the source, whatever it holds, whatever it takes.

Technomancer’s powers manifest as a way to control technology. The anomaly, which gives humans their powers in Outriders, destroys machines and technology that was brought to Enoch. But, the Technomancer is able to conjure up all manner of weapons and tech to aid in the fight.

Outriders‘ 4th Class – Technomancer

The Technomancer is a long-range, support class with the best healing abilities of all four classes in Outriders and is the only class in the game capable of healing other players. The method with which the Technomancer heals itself has not yet been revealed but Square Enix and People Can Fly have promised to spotlight the Technomancer in Broadcast #4.

Three of the Technomancer’s eight total abilities have been revealed in Broadcast #3 as well, though the exact nature of the abilities and details about how they work remains a mystery. The three abilities are;

  • Sticky proximity mine/grenade hybrid
  • Conjured RPG
  • Pain Launcher

The first two are self-explanatory but the Pain Launcher is a bit more unclear. When the Technomancer summons the Pain Launcher, it appears on the ground and fires a “widespread rocket barrage that rains death on your enemies.”

We’ll learn more about the Technomancer in Broadcast #4. You can find out about the Pyromancer here and Devastator here.

Outriders will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
