Jeff Kaplan apologises to Australia for getting our lingo wrong

Jeff Kaplan has issued an apology to the entire nation of Australia due to the inclusion of American terminology on the Junkertown map.

After the first checkpoint on the map, players can see a sign that reads ‘Take-out.’ In Australia the common term for this type of service is ‘Take-Away.’ Reddit user RagingWinston raised this issue which then caught the eye of Kaplan.

You can see the original sign in the image below.

Kaplan replied to the Reddit thread with the following statement.

Kaplan also posted a second time, linking to an image showing the sign as being fixed. The correct, Aussie terminology will be included in the map when it goes live.

Junkertown is playable for the first time at Gamescom and the Summer Games event is still ongoing.

Overwatch is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
