Trials of Mana is bringing fully remade JRPG goodness to the west in 2020

Originally released in Japan in 1995, Trials of Mana was never released in the west until it was included in Collection of Mana on Switch in 2019. Now, Square Enix is giving Trials of Mana a full makeover, remaking it in 3D and releasing it for PC, PS4 and Switch in 2020. A new trailer introduces the cast of characters and the music that accompanies the revamped gameplay.

The trailer, below, shows off the upgraded, improved and fully 3D character models as well as how to switch classes and a brand-new combat system.

Also coming to this remake is English voice over for the very first time.

Trials of Mana

Released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu 3, it is the third game in the Mana series and will now feature real-time combat. Featuring six heroes, players will be able to choose a party of three who will fight to stop the Benevodons from being released.

Pre-ordering a physical copy on PS4 or Switch will see purchasers rewarded with a special Rabite Adornment DLC. This DLC increases EXP gains up to level 10.

Trials of Mana will be released for PC, PS4 and Switch on April 24, 2020.
