Xbox Australia announces free boutique sleepover experience hotel Xbox Stay n’ Play

To celebrate the impending release of the Xbox One X, Microsoft Australia has announced the Xbox Stay n’ Play hotel in Sydney. While Xbox Australia is calling it a “boutique sleepover experience” all the comforts and facilities you’d expect from a hotel will be on offer. The only difference is that it’s all free.

Xbox Stay n’ Play will be located in the heart of Sydney and will offer both overnight and day suites to the first lucky people to register. This world-first establishment will be located at Pirrama Park, Pyrmont and will open from Friday November 3 through Sunday November 5.

Guests will be able to check in using their Xbox Gamertag on site. The guest amenities and services included in each suite are;

  • A private themed suite for you and a friend to play the Xbox One X, ahead of launch
  • Super high resolution 4K HDR televisions for super sharp and smooth gameplay
  • Dolby Atmos enabled headsets for crystal clear, cinema quality immersive audio
  • Full selection of Xbox One X Enhanced Games, available from our Gold Standard concierge

There are four suites available with themes including Forza 7, Minecraft and Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Reservations for Xbox Stay n’ Play are now open on Eventbrite and remember, it’s free!

Overnight accommodation is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Check-in will be a 8pm and check-out will be at 8am. The suites will also be available for two-hour blocks throughout the day for guests. Due to the expected demand for reservations, a lobby with walk-in gaming will be available from 8am to 8pm each day.

Jeremy Hinton, Business Group Lead at Xbox Australia said of the Xbox Stay n’ Play hotel, “Much like the One X, we’ve designed the Stay N’ Play to give players the most immersive gaming experience possible.

“Each room has been designed with our fans in mind. We hope the experience gives them the chance to experience true 4K gaming in a genuinely unique environment, days before the product is available in stores.”

To reserve your place at the Xbox Stay n’ Play hotel, head to the Eventbrite page. Xbox One X is available to pre-order from the Microsoft Store and from JB Hi Fi, EB Games and Harvey Norman.

Xbox One X launches on November 7, 2017.
