Gears 5 Collectibles Guide – Act 3, Chapter 2

Gears of War fans have plenty of reason to be excited as Gears 5 is here. Starring Kait Diaz, Del Walker, JD Fenix and, of course, Marcus Fenix, the latest entry in the franchise continues the story established in Gears of War 4. Set 25-years or so after Gears of War 3, it was revealed that the Locust didn’t die and had instead evolved into the Swarm.

In Gears 5, Kait is seeking answers to her lineage, especially her connection to the Locust. Humanity is facing all-out war with the Swarm and maybe figuring out who Kait is, holds the key to stopping the Swarm once and for all.

As is standard in Gears of War, Gears 5 has collectibles for players to find in most chapters.

This guide is for Act 3, Chapter 2 – Rocket Plan.

Gears 5 Collectibles

All collectibles in Act 3, Chapter 2 are found within the hanger. The first is found when you arrive and find a skeleton leaning up against a pile of sandbags.

The skeleton is in the main control room in which Jack first hacks the network and makes the glass see-through again.

At its feet is the first collectible.

The second collectible is located in the main hangar bay.

After you’ve opened up the door and are able to head into the hangar bay, go in and head down to the lower levels.

On the left-hand side, you’ll see consoles and barrels in the corner. Located on top of one of the barrels is the second collectible.

The third collectible is located in a small control room/office. In the left corner of the room is a dead body and in the centre of the room is a desk with folding chairs.

At the far end of the room is a bench and on the bench is the collectible.

The fourth collectible is at the very beginning of the room in which you need to ride the gantry. Before you get on the gantry, head over to the right-hand side where you’ll find a wall of sandbags.

Hop over the sandbags and you’ll see the collectible on a box.

The fifth collectible is located in the large, tall room filled with sand and machinery. You should see tanks and other broken vehicles as well as rubble.

Before you head to the right and go through the tunnel to continue the level, head to the tank in the centre of the room. Leaning up against the tank is a dead COG.

At the COG’s feet, you’ll find the fifth collectible.

The sixth collectible is found in the large, situation room just after you come out of the tunnel from the room just before.

In the room, you’ll see some large, low tables/consoles.

On the left table/console, you’ll find the last collectible for this chapter.

That’s all for Act 3, Chapter 2.

Gears 5 is available for PC and Xbox One.
