Borderlands 3 DLC roadmap revealed

Even though Borderlands 3 is still two weeks away, we now know some of the DLC we’ll be seeing post-release. A Borderlands 3 DLC roadmap was released by Gearbox, that covers Fall/Winter in North America, so Spring/Summer in Australia. The Borderlands 3 DLC roadmap includes two free updates and one paid DLC pack that will add more mayhem to the game.

While there are no dates attached to the roadmap, we can assume that this content will be out before the end of 2019, with the latest date for the paid DLC being February 2020.

The paid DLC is being called DLC 1 and is to be included with the season pass. The other two pieces of content are title updates and event-based content.

Borderlands 3 DLC

The first content update is the Bloody Harvest Event. Presumably taking place around Halloween, this event will include “Spooky Activites” and will give players unique rewards.

Following the Bloody Harvest Event is the Maliwan Takedown update. This introduces an all-new map to Borderlands 3, new enemies, a new boss and some brand-new, powerful rewards.

Finally, DLC 1 is paid content and is a “new campaign add on.” No details have been revealed yet but Gearbox is promising some news soon.

As for Borderlands 2 VR, well it’s not being left out either. On September 6, the Bad Ass Mega Fun (BAMF) DLC pack is coming to PS4 free. This includes 16 pieces of additional content for Borderlands 2 VR including “Captain Scarlet and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep”

Players will also be able to play “Mechromancer and Psycho classes, take on all five Headhunter DLC packs and the Creature Slaughter Dome, and equip the goodies of both Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Packs plus the Vault Hunter Heads and Skin packs.

Borderlands 2 VR is also coming to PC in 2019 and will include the base game and all DLC in one bundle.

Borderlands 3 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 13.
