Dark Souls Remastered Network Test date revealed

Bandai Namco has announced the Dark Souls Remastered Network Test date today. The Network Test will launch on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early this month.

The Dark Souls Remastered Network Test client will be available to download on both PS4 and Xbox One later today, May 1. The client is already available for PS4 on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

The Dark Souls Remastered Network Test will run for two days, giving everyone plenty of time to have a go.

Dark Souls Remastered Network Test Date

The Network Test will commence at 8 pm AEST and finish at 11 pm AEST (6 am EDT – 9 am EDT). It will run for two days starting on May 11 and ending on May 12.

Along with only three hours per day, you’ll only be able to download the Network Test client until May 7, 2018.

The client is 3.18 GB to download and will give Bandai Namco an idea of the stress the servers will be under when the game launches. That way it can be prepared and not have major server outages on launch day due to demand.

Dark Souls Remastered remains faithful to the original game, though there have been some changes, as detailed by Bandai Namco. Dark Souls Remastered will have dedicated servers, even on Nintendo Switch.

Dark Souls Remastered is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 25, 2018. The Switch version has been delayed and there will also be a Network Test on Switch at a later date.
