Splinter Cell comes to Ghost Recon Wildlands in Special Operation 1

Ghost Recon Wildlands’ first new content for Year 2, Special Operation 1, is launching today (April 10). As part of the content, Splinter Cell is coming to the NarcoState.

In Special Operation 1, players will be able to play alongside Sam Fisher, who is on a top-secret mission to infiltrate the Santa Cruz Unidad Camp to retrieve top-secret intel.

Fisher will be available for the duration of the new mission and will be voiced by the man himself, Michael Ironside.

In addition to the mission with Sam Fisher, Special Operation 1 will add the following as part of the Year 2 pass;

  • New weapons
  • Splinter Cell outfit
  • Sam Fisher Goggles
  • New night vision goggles
  • New Ghost War PvP Class – Echelon
  • New PvP Mode – Sabotage

Ghost Recon Wildlands’ Year 2 content was announced last week, but the inclusion of Splinter Cell is a genuine surprise.

Given that it’s been five years since the last Splinter Cell title — Blacklist — and E3 is just around the corner, it’s looking likely that we’ll see a new game in the franchise announced.
