SNES Mini Guide – Use your Wii Pro Controllers to play classic SNES Games

The SNES Mini is a pretty special piece of kit. It’s tiny and cute and it hits all the right notes of nostalgia. It even comes with two SNES controllers so you can play with friends and experience the built-in games as they were meant to be played.

But, you don’t have to.

The SNES Mini controllers plug is exactly the same as those designed for the Wii Remote. By plugging a Wii Pro Controller into the SNES Mini, you can play all of the games with a bigger, more comfortable controller. The analogue sticks only work for controlling the menus, but the grips, buttons and d-pad are all a huge improvement over the SNES Mini’s.

Best of all, you can use the Home button to return to the SNES Mini menu without having to press the Reset button on the SNES Mini console. This might seem a bit lazy, but who wants to have to get up from their comfy couch to press a button all the time?
