Assassin’s Creed Mirage Preview

Our resident Assassin’s Creed expert, Adam Mathew, recently went under the hood of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Hop into the Animus that is this YouTube embed to relive his four-hour memory sequence of that hands-on.

Expect a spoiler-free plot synopsis, background on The Order, and impressions of Basim as compared to previous protagonists in this series. You can also count on Adam’s connoisseur take on the three pillars of stealth, combat, and freerunning, not to mention a direct comparison of Basim’s English and Arabic voiceover options.

Last but not least, there’s a metric ton of visual puns and at least five minutes of non-commentary gameplay that let this sequel sell itself to you.

Side bonus: We’ve also got a phenomenal ’80stastic remix of AC Mirage’s tutorial cutscene. Why? Because Ubisoft clearly understands that we’ve spent far too many hours legging up new Initiates into competency. And even Rocky had a montage.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is launching on 5 October 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and iOS.
