Ubisoft has dropped an epic cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Over the weekend, Ubisoft celebrated the release of the main theme of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla with a new cinematic trailer. This trailer includes a remix of the main theme and follows Eivor as she journies to England and fights her way through a swarm of King Aelfred’s Saxon army.

The theme, composed by Sarah Schachner and Jesper Kyd and featuring Eina Selvik, the main theme is the opening track on The Ravens Saga EP. This seven-track EP includes music from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

The EP includes original music and is available to stream on Spotify and purchase on iTunes.

Sarah Scachner said of the composition;

We wanted the atmosphere of the theme to instantly transport the listener to another time and place, filled with mystery and uncertainty. There are Norse instruments, but they are used in a more modern way. The theme represents Eivor’s journey as well as the Vikings’ hope for a better life as they move further south into the Anglo-Saxon regions.

Jesper Kyd added, “We wanted to evoke Eivor’s journey, what drives them and the bond they have with their family. Eivor is searching for something and this longing to find it and resolve it is a key element reflected in the melody and mood.”

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla launches for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 17, 2020. It will launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X when they are available.
