Samsung has released some very sensual curved gaming monitors

Samsung Australia has announced it has launched the Odyssey G7 and G9 curved gaming monitors. These are Samsung’s premium curved gaming monitors and use Samsung’s QLED display with 1000R curvature to provide the best possible gaming experience.

Samsung’s Odyssey line are the first-ever 1000R gaming monitor. Samsung says it provides “an incredibly deep and immersive field of view for people seeking the ultimate” in curved gaming monitors.

The G7 is available in both 32 and 27 inch models while the G9 is available with a 49-inch display.

Samsung Odyssey Curved Gaming Monitors

Both variants of the Odyssey come with a 240Hz refresh rate and QLED display, delivering a 1ms response time. You won’t be able to blame your monitor lag if you’re killed online. Best stick to blaming the lousy ping we have in Australia.

The new range builds on Samsung’s growing curved display portfolio and collaboration with gamers to push the boundaries for gaming experiences. The demands of gamers are more complex and refined than ever before, between the monitor and the PC, gamers are seeking precision and control as well a beautiful design for their set up. 

The G9 features;

  • 49” ultra-wide dual QHD (5120 x1440) QLED display
  • Dual Quad High-Definition (DQHD; 5120×1440 resolution)
  • 240Hz refresh rate
  • 1ms response time
  • 32:9 aspect ratio
  • 1000R curvature
  • peak brightness of 1000 cd/m2. 

The G7 is similar however, it has WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution.

Both variants are G-Sync and AMD Freesync compatible and are on sale now. The G9 retails fore $2,799 AUD and the G7; 27-inch RRP $999 and 32-inch RRP $1,099.
