LG has revealed its 2020 range of TVs in Australia and it includes 27 new models including real 8K OLED, 4K OLED, NanoCell 8K and 4K and 4K UHD televisions. These TVs also include third-gen Alpha 9 AI processors or Alpha 7 AI Processors with intelligent upgrades, new features to enhance the viewing experience and even more content on-demand.
Following the release of the first-ever 8K OLED TV in 2019, LG is giving viewers far more options in 2020 including the OLED ZX 8K model. These TVs deliver true 8K resolution and 33 million self-emitting pixels which is equal to 16-times the number of pixels in an HD TV.
The new Gen 3 processors deliver additional processing power and learning algorithms to assist in enhancing the picture and sound quality of the TVs. It also allows for 8K upscaling on content streaming at a lower resolution.

All of the 2020 LG TVs support the latest HDMI specs including, “eARC and ALLM for higher-quality audio and a smooth, lag-free performance.” Additionally, all 8K models of LG TV support native 8K content from HDMI and USB inputs.
Gaming on an LG TV in 2020 is also about to get a boost as LG states;
LG is the first manufacturer to offer TVs that are officially NVIDIA G-SYNC® compatible. This integration means graphics are exceptionally rendered, increasing gamers’ sense of immersion by adapting the TV’s refresh rate to the frame rate of the connected hardware.
LG has introduced 10 new OLED models that support this gaming technology. Furthermore, LG 2020 OLED and select NanoCell TVs support HDMI VRR, making LG the only TV brand offering compatibility with a wide variety of gaming devices such as, graphics cards and gaming consoles.
New streaming services integrated into the 2020 models include Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Users can access these apps from the Home Launcher and they each support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The 2020 lineup of TVs also supports AirPlay 2 and HomeKit meaning users can mirror their screens from iPhone, iPad and Mac.
