Overwatch League x STAPLE is the world’s first ‘true esports kit’

The Overwatch League has partnered with streetwear designer Jeff Staple to create what it is calling the “world’s first true esports kit.” The Overwatch League collaborated with Staple who designed and crafted “an authentic kit” for esports and players. Designed with feedback from players in mind, the new kit “a look and feel that’s unique to both traditional sports and esports.”

Each of the 20 teams in the Overwatch League will receive their own unique home and away kits for the 2020 season. The season kicks off on February 9, 2020.

According to Blizzard, “Staple worked with Overwatch League players throughout the design process to ensure the kits are a comfortable, functional uniform for competition, while also maintaining Staple’s signature aesthetic. The new kits utilise elevated pin-dot mesh fabric to create lightweight and breathable jerseys to balance and regulate players’ temperature for maximum comfort.”
