Gears 5 Collectibles Guide – Act 3, Chapter 1

Gears of War fans have plenty of reason to be excited as Gears 5 is here. Starring Kait Diaz, Del Walker, JD Fenix and, of course, Marcus Fenix, the latest entry in the franchise continues the story established in Gears of War 4. Set 25-years or so after Gears of War 3, it was revealed that the Locust didn’t die and had instead evolved into the Swarm.

In Gears 5, Kait is seeking answers to her lineage, especially her connection to the Locust. Humanity is facing all-out war with the Swarm and maybe figuring out who Kait is, holds the key to stopping the Swarm once and for all.

As is standard in Gears of War, Gears 5 has collectibles for players to find in most chapters.

This guide is for Act 3, Chapter 1 – Fighting Chance.

Gears 5 Collectibles

The first collectible in Act 3, Chapter 1 is found right at the very beginning. Just after you regain control of Kait, look to the bar in front of you.

Right on the end of the bar is the first collectible; a newspaper.

The second collectible is located at the far side of the building. Head towards the baggage carousel and when you reach it, turn right.

Facing right, you’ll see a doorway and some stacked boxes to the right of the door.

Between those boxes and some small bags is the second collectible.

The third collectible is located in an office inside the airport building. Go through the metal detectors and x-ray scanner machines and then head inside the office.

In the corner on a desk is the collectible.

The fourth collectible is located outside near some tents.

Once you’ve collected the other three collectibles inside the airport, head outside and find some tables near some tents.

On the table, you’ll see a collectible pinned by a knife.

The fifth and final collectible is located inside hangar 4. After you’ve spoken with both Baird and Paduk, head outside onto the runway. After the cutscene, you regain control of Kait.

Head towards hangar 4 and go inside. On the left side of the chopper, you’ll find a ladder with shelves.

On the shelf, you’ll find the last collectible in Chapter 1.

That’s all for Act 3, Chapter 1.

Gears 5 is available on PC and Xbox One.
