Goths and emos rejoice, The Addams Family is coming to cinemas in December

Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures are bringing television’s weirdest family to the movies this December. The Addams Family — based on the comics by Charles Addams — sees the titular family move to New Jersey and struggle with the world of the 21st century.

Starring Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll with Bette Midler and Allison Janney, The Addams Family is directed by Conrad Vernon who also directed Monsters vs. AliensMadagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted and Penguins of Madagascar.

The Addams Family

All of your favourite characters are returning for this animated film including Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Cousin Itt, Thing and Lurch.

Possibly the weirdest and most interesting tidbit about The Addams Family is that Cousin Itt will be voiced by Snoop Dogg.

Weird.

Fans of The Addams Family don’t have long to wait as the film hits cinemas on December 5, 2019.
