Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered was just rated in Australia

Thanks to the always vigilant bot at AusVGClassifications the cat’s been let out of the bag. Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered has just been classified in Australia.

This comes hot on the heels of a rating of the game in Taiwan.

First released in 2009, Ghostbusters The Video Game was the closest thing to Ghostbusters 3 as the script was overseen by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis and many of the original actors lent their voices and likenesses to the game.

Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered

Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered certainly makes sense when it comes to timing.

It would coincide with the 10th anniversary of the original game and the release of Ghostbusters 3 in 2020.

Ghostbusters The Video Game takes place in 1991 during Thanksgiving. When a PKE shockwave hits New York the Ghostbusters need to work together with the new recruit to stop another Great Destructor from appearing.

It received generally good reviews when it was released and fans have been clamouring for a remaster for some time. Looks like they’ve got their wish.

More news on this one as we have it.
