Microsoft announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate today as part of the latest episode of Inside Xbox. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate was first rumoured at the beginning of April and as we reported then, this new Game Pass combines both of Xbox’s digital subscriptions.
What this means is that those who subscribe to the new, bundled service will get the benefits of Game Pass and Live Gold without having to manage two subscriptions. Subscribers will get access to over 100 digital titles and Xbox Live Gold multiplayer.
The new subscription will cost $15.95 AUD per month.

As we reported when this new service was rumoured;
This new subscription allows you to pay by the month and pay the same price, with the additional cost of Game Pass.
Microsoft has started inviting a select number of Xbox Insiders to test Game Pass Ultimate ahead of its wider launch later this year.
The wording of the announcement is interesting however as it specifically mentions “Xbox Live Gold online multiplayer.” This suggests that Game Pass Ultimate may exclude Games with Gold and Deals with Gold.
We’ve asked Microsoft for clarification on this and will update this article when we learn more.
