PDP Gaming announces a new Nintendo Switch chat controller with microphone jack

PDP Gaming, manufacturer of gaming peripherals, has announced its brand-new Faceoff Deluxe+ Audio wired controller for Switch. While the controller being wired is a bit of a bummer, the best part about the Faceoff Deluxe+ Audio is that includes a microphone jack.

That makes the Faceoff Deluxe+ Audio controller the very first Nintendo Switch chat controller that lets you chat by plugging in a headset.

As part of its announcement, PDP Gaming said;

With the recent announcement of communications expert, Vivox, providing the development tools used to create true in-game chat with Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch, the timing is perfect for this new innovative controller.

Launching Summer 2019, our new controller features support for Vivox’s integrated in-game chat, premium game audio through a 3.5mm audio jack, patented on-board audio controls that let you adjust the audio on the fly right from your controller, two additional programmable buttons, and an interchangeable faceplate – making it the best Nintendo Switch controller for serious gamers.

The Faceoff Deluxe+ Audio controller not only includes native voice chat, it also features interchangeable faceplates and two programmable paddles on the rear.

The cable is 10ft (3 metres) and the analogue sticks are “responsive low-friction metal.”

Pre-orders for the new controller open in May with each controller costing $24.99 USD.
