Diablo 3 Season 16, Season of Grandeur is live

Season 16 for Diablo 3 is now live; dubbed the Season of Grandeur. Players will fight and grind their way through deeper levels of torment for the thing that drives all of us.

A new hat.

New cosmetic rewards are available for those who seek glory. The Helm and Shoulder Armour of the exclusive conqueror set awaits those brave enough to accept the challenge. As well new portrait frames and the much sought after Wings of Lempo.

Diablo 3 Season 16

All players who partake is season 16 will also receive the Ring of Royal Grandeur, allowing all players to benefit from its abilities all season. And before you think you’ve worked out some broken combo that makes you a God-Slayer we should point out it doesn’t stack with additional Rings of Royal Grandeur, either directly equipped or via the Jewellery slot in Kanai’s Cube.

The class sets for completing chapters in the season journey have rotated as per usual, so if you are after a particular set take a look at the list below. And remember you’ll need to open all three Haedrig’s Gift on the same character, otherwise you end up with bits and pieces of various sets.

Let’s take a look at the available sets for season 16, you can click the set to get the stats and a list of pieces available:

I’m particularly interested in trying to run a Witch Doctor this season since I never really levelled one before. Which character are you keen to dive into season 16 with?

Some old sets and abilities are being rebalanced as well, so even if the new sets don’t suit your playstyle, your favourite class will have new useful builds available to them. In addition to set changes comes some minor tweaks to gameplay, such as legendary potions no longer taking bag space and big changes to end-game loot in the form of Primal Legendaries

For the challenge mode minded slayers comes challenges such as Need for Speed, complete a Nephalem Rift at Level 70 on Torment X or higher in under two minutes.

That is insane.

Other achievements encourage you to grind Legendary Gems to level 65. If you think you’re the ultimate slayer then try Boss Mode that requires you to slay no less than 16 bosses in under twenty minutes. By the way, those bosses are the like of The Butcher, The Skeleton King, Belial, Azmodan and Diablo himself, so good luck.

This season isn’t pulling its punches so repair your gear, find a buddy or two to hunt with and get slaying now. Here at PowerUp! we would love to see your accomplishments this season so tweet us screenshots of your demon slaying exploits and your fancy new set pieces.
