DAKAR 18 comes to consoles early next month

Portuguese development studio Bigmoon Entertainment has announced that DAKAR 18 will be headed to PS4 and Xbox One next month. Based on the annual Raid Rally in South America, DAKAR 18 aims to be a realistic simulation of the motorsport event.

Included in DAKAR 18 as a pre-order bonus is Ari Vatanen, a Finnish driver who is returning to the event, having won it four times in the past. Vatanen’s Peugot 205 Turbo 16 will be unlocked for those who pre-order the limited physical day one edition of DAKAR 18.

Each year, the DAKAR Rally is organised by the Amaury Sports Organisation and is the biggest cross-country race in the world.

DAKAR 18 Release Date

Included as part of DAKAR 18 are both online and offline modes. While playing online, players will be battling against players from around the world. Playing offline gives players the chance to practice both the navigation and racing skills required to become the champion.

Being a simulation game. Bigmoon has focused on making DAKAR 18 as realistic as possible. Players will be able to race using realistic versions of the cars, bikes, trucks, quads and SxS vehicles used in the DAKAR Rally.

DAKAR 18 will also allow players to play couch-co-op with a split-screen mode.

DAKAR 18 will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on September 11.
