Aussie developed The Gardens Between comes to Switch, PC & PS4 next month

Aussie developers, The Voxel Agents, has announced that The Gardens Between is coming to PC, PS4 and Switch next month. The time travelling adventure game which sees players controlling two best friends is now available for pre-order on the eShop.

The Voxel Agents is a Melbourne-based studio that was founded by Simon Joslin, Matthew Clark and Tom Killen in 2009. Striving to develop games that focus on curiosity and unique gameplay ideas, The Voxel Agents hopes players feel a connection with The Gardens Between

Starring Arina and Frendt, The Gardens Between sees players travelling across a series of “reality-warping isles.” Each of these isles is filled with puzzles that require the manipulation of time to solve.

By doing so, Arina and Frendt will experience some of their most cherished memories again.

The Gardens Between

At its core, The Gardens Between is a puzzle platformer. However, the inclusion of two controllable characters and time manipulation makes for a unique and interesting experience.

Additionally, the visuals are reminiscent of the toon-shaded artwork from Wind Waker or Breath of the Wild. Players will be easily drawn into this gorgeous world as they travel along with Arina and Frendt.

Joslin, co-founder of The Voxel Agents said;

It’s our hope that players are not only touched by the story of Arina and Frendt, but that they take time to remember their own special relationships growing up,

While so many of the objects featured in the gardens are from our own childhoods, we hope our audience will relate and recall a time when friendship meant everything.

The Gardens Between will be available for PC, PS4 and Switch on September 20.
