Shadow of the Tomb Raider Season Pass detailed

After all the leaks today, Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been officially unveiled. As part of the game’s reveal, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Season Pass has been detailed.

The Season Pass will include new content at regular intervals and season pass holders will be given special items on the day of release.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third game in the new Tomb Raider trilogy and sees Lara “master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.”

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Season Pass

According to Square Enix, the Season Pass will add new content called ‘Paths.’

Each Path includes a new narrative, new missions, a Challenge Tomb, a new weapon, a new outfit and a new skill

Players who purchase the Season Pass will receive an exclusive weapon, outfit, and skill on Day One. The first Challenge Tomb to be introduced as part of the Season Pass will also introduce co-op functionality.

Other features included in Shadow of the Tomb Raider are;

  • Survive and Thrive In the Deadliest Place on Earth: Master an unforgiving jungle setting in order to survive. Explore underwater environments filled with crevasses and deep tunnel systems.
  • Become One With the Jungle: Outgunned and outnumbered, Lara must use the jungle to her advantage. Strike suddenly and disappear like a jaguar, use mud as camouflage, and instil fear in enemies to sow chaos.
  • Discover Dark and Brutal Tombs: Tombs are more terrifying than ever before, requiring advanced traversal techniques to reach them, and once inside they are filled with deadly puzzles.
  • Uncover Living History: Discover a hidden city and explore the biggest hub space ever found in a Tomb Raider game.

The Shadow of the Tomb Raider Season Pass will be included as part of the Croft Edition and Ultimate Edition.

It appears that Square Enix is planning to release seven ‘Paths’ as part of the Season Pass.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 14, 2018.
