Check out a bunch of new Code Vein screenshots

Bandai Namco has released a handful of new Code Vein screenshots. The images were posted on Facebook and make reference to a location and enemies within the game.

The Code Vein screenshots show off the game’s anime visuals and its vampiric/horror themes.

In the Facebook post, Bandai Namco makes mention of the “halls of the Cathedral of the Sacred Blood” and the “Successor of the Ribcage.”

The images show the Cathedral of the Sacred blood from both the inside and outside and it is clear that Code Vein‘s gameplay isn’t the only thing inspired by Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

In fact, the Successor of the Ribcage bears a striking resemblance to Vicar Amelia from Bloodborne. Overall, the anime aesthetic is very strong in Code Vein and aside from the obvious comparisons to Bloodborne and Dark Souls, Code Vein looks to be inspired by Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

Code Vein is an Action-RPG, inspired by Dark Souls and featuring anime visuals. It’s a story of vampires who use blood powers to battle and a post-apocalyptic world.

Code Vein is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

It was recently rated MA15+ in Australia. A release date has not yet been announced.
