Detroit Become Human release date announced

Quantic Dream has announced the Detroit Become Human release date. Quantic Dream’s latest and “most ambitious title yet” is coming to PS4 this May.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog by Quantic Dream Director David Cage, he calls Detroit: Become Human the studio’s “most accomplished achievement.”

In Detroit: Become Human, it’s the near-future and androids are a part of everyday life. Some androids begin to experience emotions and when they do are considered faulty. These faulty androids are destroyed or reprogrammed, but to them, it is akin to dying.

Players will be able to control three of these androids just as they begin to experience emotion.

Connor is a prototype designed to help human investigators on cases involving androids; Kara becomes a fugitive by empathizing with a little girl, united in their dream of freedom; Markus will become the leader of the android revolution.

Each of the protagonists is grappling with real emotion while trying to remain hidden in plain sight. According to Cage and Quantic Dream, player’s actions will have wide-ranging and dramatic consequences.

Entire sequences can be missed, NPCs can appear to be allies until they betray you, friends and foes alike can survive or die depending on the choices you make.

Even Marcus, Connor and Kara are in danger of dying at any given moment. Players will need to exercise caution and be vigilant so as not to arouse suspicion and be killed.

Cage says that Detroit’s stories are all going to be unique experiences, exclusive to each player.

Each story is almost as unique as your DNA: it is the result of the choices you made, the minor ones and the important ones, because in Detroit, all choices matter.

You will need to observe, think, decide, feel, follow your intuition or your heart, to tell the unique stories of each character, and their stories will become your personal story.

To bring Detroit Become Human to life, Quantic Dream developed their biggest and best 3D engine yet. The finished product features lifelike characters, full motion and performance capture, hundreds of individual characters in a crowd and visuals that push the PS4 to its absolute limit.

With the Detroit Become Human release date announced, we can now look forward to playing Quantic Dream and David Cage’s magnum opus from May 25, 2018. It will be exclusive to PS4

Detroit: Become Human is launching exclusively for PS4 on May 25, 2018.
