Hi-Rez launches worldwide community Paladins tournament

Following the news of Paladins reaching over 4 million players worldwide, Hi-Rez has announced a brand new, community focused worldwide tournament.

Dubbed Paladins Evie’s Winter Classic, the tournament is open to all players. Originally announced for North America and Europe, the tournament has been opened up to Oceania, Latin America, Brazil, and Russia.

Each region will have a prize pool of $10,000 dollars and being an open bracket competition, anyone can register and play. To sign up, head to the tournament website here. Dan McHugh, Esports Manager of Hi-Rez Studios said the event is designed to allow regular players to get a foot in the eSports door.

Paladins has a thriving community full of people who not only play Paladins themselves but love to watch others play at a competitive level. Every week there are new Paladins players making names for themselves, and this tournament will provide the rising stars of the growing Paladins community a chance to show their skills.

Evie’s Winter Classic run from November 14 through December 19 and is entirely separate from the Paladins Oceania Invitational. Hi-Rez is encouraging all players to take part in the tournament and has included an LFG (looking for group) function on the tournament page for players who don’t have a team.

Paladins is in open beta on PC and will be entering closed beta on PS4 and Xbox One soon.
