Earlier today 2K and developers Visual Concepts unveiled an exciting new game mode for the upcoming WWE 2K22. Alongside the second entry in the Ringside Report YouTube series (which is offering gamers a chance to get in-depth looks at the game leading up to its release), MyGM has been announced with its own trailer voiced by a WWE legend. The Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon (herself a former Monday Night Raw/Smackdown general manager) narrates a look at the new mode which is set to offer players an extensive range of management options for their intrepid, or seasoned, team of wrestlers.
WWE 2K22 Unveils MyGM Mode
As highlighted in the trailer above, MyGM will allow you to play as iconic managers, or create your own custom general manager to build the brand the way you see fit. To do this you’ll be keeping a close eye on budgets, hiring free agents to bolster your team and diversify your narrative and, of course, making sure your WWE is the most-watched and talked about. There seems to be a decent selection of ways to drum up interest, including directly involving yourself in matches, stoking rivalries and so on.
The full list of options available in MyGM is looking impressive so far. You’re even able to get down into the minutia of management such as venue and booking logistics. On top of these more bookish pursuits, you’ll also be expected to fill out your roster with show-stealing WWE icons. Once matches kick off you’ll even be able to jump into real-time camera movements to try and reach a five-star rating for entertainment value. WWE 2K22 will be available on March 11, 2022.
WWE 2K22 Standard Edition and Cross-Gen Bundle will be available on March 11, 2022. WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition and nWo 4-Life Digital Edition will be available on March 8, 2022.
