Kirby and the Forgotten Lands introduces ‘Mouthful Mode’…dear god

Nintendo has introduced the internet and the world to ‘Mouthful Mode’ in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. And…honestly, it must have known what it was doing with this right? Like, it can feign ignorance as much as it likes, Nintendo must have known the reaction something called ‘Mouthful Mode’ was going to get.

Reactions have been swift and hilarious. Take this one for example.

What is ‘Mouthful Mode’ you ask? Weel, it’s not something you’ll find on spicy YouTube. Or it probably is, but in this context, it’s not. In Kirby and the Forgotten Lands, ‘Mouthful Mode, Kirby inhales objects to transform into them. Instead of inhaling something and copying its powers, when he transforms, he actually transforms.

Check it out in the trailer below.

Mouthful Mode

The examples shown in the trailer include a car, water, traffic cone, ring and arch. Kirby is also able to evolve his copy abilities at a Waddle Dee weapons shop in Waddle Dee Town. By evolving his abilities, Kirby will change his appearance and become even more powerful.

Whether this improved his Mouthful abilities remains to be seen.

Additionally, Nintendo has confirmed that as Kirby finds and rescues Waddle Dees, Waddle Dee Town will grow and change and offer more and better benefits. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming to Switch on March 25, 2022, and you can check out a bunch of SFW screenshots below.
