In less than one week, players will be able to join the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Eidos Montreal developed adventure through space. The latest CG trailer for the game shows the titular Guardians doing what they do best; improvising and quipping.

Set to the undeniably awesome “Kickstart My Heart” by Mötley Crüe, this trailer has the gang surrounded by enemies without little hope for survival. Until that is, Star-Lord turns his cassette over to Plan B, “Kickstart My Heart” pumps out and the team take out the enemies in style.

It’s all very tongue-in-cheek and has the signature Guardians of the Galaxy style.

While the trailer is basically a CG cutscene, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix have said;

“This same Huddle mechanic will prove essential for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy players as they fight to overcome seemingly impossible odds throughout their journey across the galaxy. In the game, players will be able to call a Huddle during combat and choose which motivational words to offer the team. If chosen correctly, all of the Guardians will receive a powerup, making it easier for them to bang enemy heads while listening to one of the game’s 30 headbanging tracks.”

Last month we were able to go hands-on with the game. In our preview, we wrote, “Guardians of the Galaxy is undoubtedly highly enjoyable, pleasantly amusing and utterly authentic.”

Players will be able to find out for themselves in less than a week when Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launches for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X on October 26, 2021.
