D&D Live 2021 Features Stars, New Adventures And Fundraising.

D&D Live 2021 is set to kick off the annual celebration of the classic roleplaying franchise this weekend with a star-studded two-day event. Aussie viewers can tune in from 5 am tomorrow, July 17th, to see celebrities play campaigns and also be given a look at upcoming D&D products and a few surprises too. The event will run across the 17th and the 18th from 5 am to 1 pm AEST. The event is being hosted by G4TV and can be viewed on either its Twitch or YouTube channels, and of course the official D&D channels too.

The event is set to feature a massive array of stars from the film and music industry, with special appearances from beloved D&D celebrities and influencers. Popular DM Kate Welch will lead a headline campaign but you can expect to see these stars act out multiple stories across the two days. The full list of appearances can be found on the official site but Jack Black, Tiffany Haddish, Seth Green, Reggie Watts and Kevin Smith are all set to bring their comedic talents to the event.

D&D Live isn’t just a celebration of the game though, as fans and creators will unite to support Extra Life, a fundraising effort for children’s hospitals. You can donate before or during the event by heading over the donations page right here. Other charities, such as Connor’s Cure and Alice’s Kids are also being supported by the event.

The past year has seen massive changes to the way we interact and play games with each other and if anything positive was to come from it, at least it’s a surge in new players. D&D saw a massive spike in digital sales and thanks to applications like Zoom becoming more commonplace, players all over the globe are now connected and enjoying the spoils of the iconic tabletop experience.

The news comes off the back of the recent collaboration between Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons which sees the two iconic fantasy games collide in a new set of cards available now.
