Final Fantasy 14 Launches Latest Yo-kai Watch Event.

Final Fantasy 14 has launched it’s latest collaborative event, Gather One, Gather All, and is inviting players to track down the adorable Yo-kai. The event is a joint effort with the popular monster-collecting franchise Yo-kai Watch and is set to offer players more rewards than ever before for catching ’em all, as it were.

The titular Yo-kai watch

First up, this event is open to all players above level 15, including those who have only just started their journey in the expanded Free Trial mode. You will have to have completed one of the following main story quests though – “The Gridanian Envoy”, “The Lominsan Envoy” or “The Ul’dahn Envoy”. Once you’ve done that, head on over to the Steps of Nald in Ul’dah and talk to poor-heeled youth to begin your Yo-kai quest.

The quest gives you a shot at some pretty cool rewards, but you’ll have to work for them. Completing the quest will reward you with the gear needed to collect Yo-kai medals, which you’ll in turn use to unlock minions and weapons. You can collect the medals by taking part in certain FATEs around the map and will turn them in to the wandering executive at the Gold Saucer.

It’s a meaty quest to be sure but the rewards look fantastic. In terms of minions, you’ll be able to earn seventeen of the little dudes, as well as seventeen Yo-kai themed weapons. If you’re really persistent, or just love Yo-kai this much, the reward for collecting all of the minions and weapons is three fancy mounts, including a brand new one from this event.

Arguably, there has never been a better time to dive into Final Fantasy 14. The latest patch, 5.3, has massively expanded the already generous Free Trial length to include two full campaigns and a character up to level 60. Between that, the new story content for veterans and cool collaboration events such as Gather One, Gather All, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better fantasy MMO experience in 2020.
