Obsidian shows new The Outer Worlds content, Grounded and Avowed at Xbox Games Showcase

It was a big day for Obsidian, showing not one, not two, but three games at the Xbox Games Showcase. First up was an expansion/DLC for The Outer Worlds; Peril on Gorgon. Working with Private Division, Obsidian will take players beyond the reaches of the Halcyon Colony.

In Peril on Gorgon, players will enjoy “more of what they love in the darkly humorous universe with a brand-new pulp-noir tinged adventure that takes players to the Gorgon Asteroid to investigate the mysterious origin of Adrena-Time.”

The level cap will increase to 33 so players will also be able to add and change their build, perks and skills. Peril on Gorgon launches on September 9, 2020, and is available separately or together with Murder on Eridanos as part of the expansion pass.

Grounded, launching on July 28, is the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids of videogames. Players, shrunk to the size of an ant, alongside some friends, will explore their backyard from a brand-new perspective.

Players will need to “gather, build, and survive” to “make it out of the backyard alive.”

Launching in Xbox Game Preview, Xbox Game Pass and Steam Early Access, players will be able to shrink down with Grounded on July 28.

Finally, Obsidian is taking players back to the land of Eora in Avowed. A short, pre-rendered trailer was shown and Obsidian is promising more details in the future.
