Elite Squad is the first Tom Clancy mobile game

Ubisost announced the first-ever official ‘Tom Clancy’s’ mobile game yesterday. Elite Squad is a free-to-play mobile RPG coming to Android and iOS in August. Starring characters from across the Tom Clancy universe, Elite Squad sees a tonne of heroes and villains coming together for the first time.

Fans who pre-register on either Android or the App Store will unlock a special in-game weapon for Montagne in Elite Squad.

Other characters confirmed for Elite Squad include Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell and El Sueño from Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Ubisoft called Elite Squad “a military mobile RPG” and will feature 70 characters, a load of weapons, gear and abillities for players build their squads. Playing as the commander, players will lead their squad in 5v5 battles.

Battles take place across familiar locations like “Base of Operations from Tom Clancy’s The Division and Valletta, Malta, from Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction.” In order to win, commanders need to give orders at the right time ensuring they take out the enemies and stay alive.

Elite Squad includes a campaign with a brand-new story set in the Tom Clancy universe. Players will face a brand-new threat to the world and the campaign will include multiple chapters and cutscenes.

Finally, Elite Squad will also include PvP. Players can form guilds and fight against others across the world in a unique, mobile competitive experience.

Elite Squad comes to mobile on August 27, 2020.
