ProtoCorgi is the insanely cute bullet-hell game you never knew you needed

Developed by Kemono Games, ProtoCorgi is coming to PC (Steam and EGS) and Switch in November. It’s got a retro, pixel-art style and it is insanely cute. A horizontal bullet-hell game where you control a cybernetically enhanced corgi?

Come on!

IN ProtoCorgi, players control Bullet who is a C3 class — Cute Cyber Corgi or Cosmic Combat Corgi — cybernetic doggo. Created by a military experiment, Bullet is ready for combat and will need all of his weapons and abilities to save his master from evil aliens.

A free demo of ProtoCorgi is available on Steam.

According to Kemono Games;

When Bullet discovers that Nixie was kidnapped by evil alien forces seeking galactic domination, the cute, yet deadly Corgi goes on a quest to save her. The adventure ahead fills your screen with fully animated beautiful retro pixel art and lets you experience Bullet’s fights with precise controls, solid gameplay and passionate story. Shoot, Dodge and Bark your way through in this adorable Bark’em up!

From the trailer we can see some adorable details like the way Bullet shoots the letters B, A, R, K at enemies and how everything has a dog theme. It’s all way too cute and looks way too fun.

Judging from some images, it looks as though ProtoCorgi will included a level designer too. Though that’s not confirmed at the time of writing.

ProtoCorgi is coming to PC and Switch in November 2020.
