Report – Star Wars: Squadrons launches this October with VR Support and a budget price

Poor Star Wars: Squadrons. It’s been subjected to so many leaks now that it’s practically full of holes. After leaking on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Games Store, IGN has now posted (and deleted) details of the game ahead of the official reveal.

Star Wars: Squadrons is described by IGN as;

A first-person, space dog-fighting game set after the events of Return of the Jedi.

The article also confirms the game will come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. On PC it will be available via Steam, Epic Games Store and Origin.

The leak also confirms that Star Wars: Squadrons will launch on October 2, 2020 for the budget price of $39.99 USD. The game will include single-player story and multiplayer modes and cross-play will be supported on all platforms.

Additionally, the PC and PS4 versions of Star Wars: Squadrons will have VR support.

EA will show gameplay of Squadrons at EA Play Live on June 18.

Surely there aren’t any other leaks to come for Star Wars: Squadrons, though from what we’ve heard so far, it sounds like it’s shaping up to be a pretty epic game.

If the report from IGN is true, you can expect to play Star Wars: Squadrons on October 2, 2020.
