V1 Interactive “toyed around” with Disintegration on Switch

We recently had the chance to check out the single-player campaign for Disintegration and chat to the game’s Director Marcus Lehto. During our chat we asked him if V1 Interactive had any plans to release Disintegration on Switch. At the moment, the game is confirmed to be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2020.

Lehto said that while there aren’t any current plans for Disintegration on Switch he admitted that the team had considered it.

“I’m not gonna say we haven’t toyed around with it, but it’s a pretty cool possibility,” he said.

Disintegration Switch

Disintegration is a hybrid first-person shooter and real-time tactics game that sees players commanding a group of ground units while piloting a Grav Cycle. Lehto told us that Disintegration is built using Unreal Engine 4 which offers native support for Switch.

So while there’s nothing concrete at the moment, the fact that V1 Interactive has “toyed around” with the idea of a Switch release and Lehto said it’s a “cool possibility” we’re going to remain hopeful.

Disintegration will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2020.
