MSI has announced the newest addition to its creator-focused line of hardware, the MSI Creator 400. The new line of desktop chassis are designed with a host of features geared to the needs of content creators. MSI says it took inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man when designing the Creator 400 series.
The design utilizes principals of the golden ratio that govern proportions and dimensions for perfect balance. Everything about the case is tailored to please the aesthetic demands of creators including a special internal power supply cover design that simplifies wire management.
Unlike its other creator-focused products that lean heavily on a white colour theme, the Creator 400 goes for a darker, space grey colour that MSI says is ‘fitting for designers’. An industry-first 5.38 mm thick laminated tempered glass panel with a side-opening design gives quick access to the motherboard and components.
The front-opening aluminium panel is designed for precise aerodynamics while three 140 mm cooling fans on the front and rear provide airflow. High-density sound-absorbing cotton in the front, top and side dampen any fan noise. This is especially good for live streamers who don’t need a noisy machine on camera.
The Creator 400 supports E-ATX motherboards and 360 mm water-cooling kits and full-size graphics cards.
MAG Core Liquid 240R & 360R Series liquid cooling kits
MSI also announced its first-ever AIO liquid cooling products. The MAG Core Liquid 240R and MAG Core Liquid 360R series as well as the MAG Core Liquid 240RH and MAG Core Liquid 360RH series which come with MSI’s intelligent ARGB controller-MPG MAX iHUB.
The new coolers use a 270-degree rotating water-cooling head design that is meant to give users easier wire installation. The fan motors use ceramic bearings which MSI claims will last up to 100,000 hours of use. Additionally, MSI has moved the motors to the water-cooled row to reduce damage and noise caused by extra vibration on the motherboard and CPU.
The liquid-cooling radiator has a new design with 8 hot water channels which promises better heat dissipation by moving cold water to the centre of the radiator instead of the traditional side-by-side design.
The ARGB controller-MPG MAX iHUB efficiently combines the fan power cable and ARGB control cable into the same controller. Users can use MSI’s Dragon Center App to monitor the temperature of specific parts and adjust the fan speed. Lighting effects are controlled through MSI Mystic Light.
