Build, Scavenge and Survive in the nomadic MMO Last Oasis

Developer Donkey Crew has dropped a brand-new trailer for the nomadic survival MMO Last Oasis. Set on a dying earth, Last Oasis challenges players to explore and survive by building walking bases to travel to new, potentially habitable lands. These walking bases are called walkers and are wind-powered inspired by Dutch artist Theo Jansen’s strandbeests.

According to Donkey Crew;

After a cataclysmic event halted the Earth’s rotation, the planet was split into two extreme and deadly environments. Only a narrow region between the burning and freezing halves of the planet can support life. This region moves as the planet orbits around the sun, and all living creatures must migrate with it to survive.

In order to keep moving, the remnants of humanity have built nomadic machines, and a walking city called the Flotilla.

Players will need to explore to survive and stay on the move. They’ll need to source water, fight wild animals and pirates and work to become a leader in this new world.

Last Oasis

The trailer above highlights the nomadic life that awaits players in the game. The title comes from the numerous oases discovered throughout the world. Each is at least 100 square kilometres in area and are the hubs that support the game.

Players will need to make their way between these oases to trade and plunder, survive and upgrade their walker.

Last Oasis is heading to Steam Early Access soon.
