Check out some screenshots from Final Fantasy 14’s next update; Patch 5.15

The next minor title update for Final Fantasy 14 is coming soon with a release date hopefully announced at the upcoming Letter from the Producer Live. While that is scheduled for December 13, 2019, Square Enix have released a handful of screenshots to give us a look at some of the new content coming in this update.

Included in Patch 5.15 are updates for the Blue Mage job and the addition of new PvP mode Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam) and a new mount.

Not a lot of detail has been given so far regarding the patch but with these new images, we at least have an idea of the visuals. As for the Blue Mage and Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam), Square Enix has given a short blurb on each.

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 5.15

Regarding the Blue Mage, Square Enix writes;

Since last you met, Martyn has been striving to further the interests of the fledgling Blue Mages’ Guild. Not only has he uncovered a wealth of powerful spells for you to master, he has also arranged for groups exclusively comprised of blue mages to journey into perilous territory to test the limits of their abilities.

For Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam), Square Enix writes;

The Xaela of the Azim Steppe are renowned for their ferocity in battle, a traditional preoccupation that culminates once each Tsagaan Sar as they clash to earn the right to rule in the Naadam. Such infrequent conflict is insufficient to sate the Steppe’s most zealous warriors, however, thus the Danshig Naadam─smaller contests to which the Grand Companies of Eorzea have now been welcomed. Join forces with the Maelstrom and the Orben people, the Adders and the Ejinn, or the Flames and the Horo in this grand demonstration of martial prowess, and may the mightiest prevail!

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 5.15 will be released shortly. Fingers crossed we get a release date during the Letter from the Producer Live on December 13. The broadcast will be discussing Patch 5.2, however, it’s likely a release date for Patch 5.15 will be announced.

Final Fantasy 14 is available for PC and PS4.
