Pagan Online has launched, leaving Early Access

Wargaming and Mad Head Games‘ action RPG Pagan Online has left Early Access and has launched in full, for PC. This top-down, dungeon-crawling RPG based on Slavic mythology comes fully features with session-based PvE, multiplayer characters, a range of modes and more.

Available on Steam and the Wargaming Store for $29.99 AUD, Pagan Online includes two new playable characters, a 60-hour campaign, expanded control options and refined mechanics.

PowerUp! first played Pagan Online in June this year and found it to be immensely satisfying, even in its early stages. We also thought that it had a bright future, which clearly, it does.

Out of Early Access

Many of the changes implemented in this final release have been the result of community feedback during Early Access. Both Wargaming and Mad Head Games have listened to players and tried to provide an experience to suit what they wanted.

“The amazing community that has formed around Pagan Online has been instrumental in making it the best dungeon crawler that it can be,” said Uros Banjesevic, Chief Creative Officer of Mad Head Games. “Throughout early access, we prioritized listening to our player base and have consistently taken their feedback to heart.

“In our eyes, Pagan Online’s launch is as much a product of our community as it is from Mad Head Games. We’re looking forward to continuing to evolve the game even further with all of you!”

The two new playable characters available with the launch are Hector and Eldan. Players will also see new bosses, items, maps and zones as part of the release. The full, eight act campaign has been included which will allow players to finally get the full story inspired by Slavic Mythology.

And because the community asked for it, players are now able to use a click-to-move control scheme in addition to full gamepad support. Balancing has been carried out to ensure items and recipes are dropping as intended and Pagan Online‘s crafting system has been overhauled to make it fairer, more enjoyable and more rewarding for players.

Finally, all-new skill trees have been added which allow further customisation of characters to enable them to play their own way.

Pagan Online is available now on PC.
