Borderlands 3 will feature a special level-sync system so everyone can play AND get their loot

One of the best parts about Borderlands games is the ability to play solo or co-op and drop in and out at any time. However, this goes hand-in-hand with one of the worst parts about Borderlands; being under or overlevelled and losing loot in co-op.

In Borderlands 3 though, that’s set to become a thing of the past. Gearbox has announced a brand-new and special level-sync system that makes the experience work for each individual player. This will allow players of any range of levels to come together and play online or in split-screen.

Whether you’re a high or low level or somewhere in between, the new level-sync system will tailor your experience to you and your buddies’ experience to them.

Borderlands 3 Loot

In previous games, when loot appeared, the first player to grab it was the only one who got it. This was a frustrating, painful system that meant that Borderlands loot was fought over instead of celebrated.

In Borderlands 3, loot will no longer function in this way. Instead, when players fight together they’ll earn their own loot.

Take down enemies and challenges as a team, but reap rewards that are yours alone – no one misses out on loot.

This is a huge boon for Borderlands 3 and will make playing it in co-op much more enjoyable. This is even better when you consider that Gearbox is stating that Borderlands 3 will include a billion guns.

With multiple distinct weapons manufacturers, a revolutionary content generation system, and special legendary drops to uncover, your ever-improving arsenal comes with near-infinite possibilities.

Regardless of your level and mission or story progress, you’ll be able to play with your friends and all enjoy the combat and reap the rewards.

Borderlands 3 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 13, 2019.
