Call of Duty Black Ops 4 new Blackout map is Alcatraz

 Activision and Treyarch will unleash a brand new map for Call of Duty Black Ops 4‘s Blackout mode. The Alcatraz map will be available tomorrow (April 3 in Australia) for PS4 players with PC and Xbox One to come later.

The Black Ops 4 Blackout map — Alcatraz — is “set in a fog-filled island boasting a variety of environments that all lead up to the big cellhouse atop the hill.”

Alcatraz is a vastly different map than the one that launched with Black Ops 4 and should give players a whole new experience.

Activision and Treyarch describe the new Blackout map as;

Requiring new strategies and tactics, players will drop in, gear up and fight through both close-quarters combat and long-range exterior firefights as they battle to be the last squad standing.

Alcatraz is not replacing the original map that launched with Black Ops 4 so, players will have two options when dropping into Blackout. The Alcatraz map is being billed as “close quarters battle royale.”

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is available now.
