Munchkin Warhammer Age of Sigmar announced.

After successfully merging the universe of Warhammer 40,000 and Munchkin last year, Steve Jackson Games has set its sights on Warhammer’s other universe, Age of Sigmar. Steve Jackson Games and Games Workshop are once again teaming up, this time announcing Munchkin Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

 Munchkin Warhammer 40,000 is coming in 2019 and aims to be the “biggest, back-stabbiest, most loot-filled heavy-weapons bonanza of the year.” So how will Munchkin Warhammer Age of Sigmar stand apart?

According to Steve Jackson Games;

The Eight Realms of Warhammer Age of Sigmar form a new battleground for Munchkin players to explore – by which we mean kill monsters and take their stuff, obviously. First launched in 2015, Warhammer Age of Sigmar has found a home on game tables worldwide.

Players will be able to fight grim monsters with loot taken from across the eight realms and best each other with relics illustrated by principle Munchkin artist Andrew Hackard in close consultation with Games Workshop. B

Being totally compatible with Munchkin Warhammer 40,000 and its expansions, players will be able to mix sets to create a truly warp addled grimdark Munchkin experience.

Steve Jackson Games has also said;

[Warhammer Age of Sigmar’s] rich story and variety of foes are a perfect match for your Munchkin game. Play as a solider of one of the Armies in the Grand Alliances, as you fight against the numberless minions of Chaos and Death!

Munchkin Warhammer Age of Sigmar will launch late 2019 with the Deluxe format costing $29.95USD, followed by two 112-card expansions $19.95USD in 2020.

Games have always been a big part of my life in all types of formats. I'm just as happy with a deck of cards or a bunch of miniatures as I am with a keyboard and mouse or controller. Any game where there is a little teamwork happening is usually going be my favourite. I'm very partial to a good RTS, RPG or FPS session with friends, a beer and some decent music.
