Coming from a team with the collective talent behind such titles as Metal Gear, Armored Core, Xenoblade Chronicles and Gundam is Left Alive. Set in the Front Mission universe, Left Alive is a shooter coming to both PC and PS4.
According to Square Enix;
LEFT ALIVE tells a human story of survival from the perspective of three different protagonists during the devastating invasion set in war-torn Novo Slava in 2127.
In the latest trailer, Square Enix is showing players just how much emphasis is placed on survival in Left Alive.
Left Alive Survival
The trailer begins by showing players who they’ll need to plan their route through the war zone of Nova Slava. Players will need to avoid enemy soldiers, mechs, cameras and more.
The entire stealth sequence in the trailer is very reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid, sound effects included.
The Left Alive survival trailer also includes some footage of the game’s combat. It focuses on how players can get the drop on the enemy by making smart use of stealth.
As players travel through the wartorn city, they’ll discover civilians that need rescuing. Doing so will see you escorting NPCs to shelter. Whether this will give you a bonus or assist in your quest remains to be seen.
Players will also need to make choices throughout Left Alive. The trailer gives us a look at how the choices you make have different outcomes. It’s going to be interesting to see how big a difference these choices will have on the narrative as a whole.
Left Alive also plays out dynamically with players able to engage enemies stealthily or guns blazing. Either way, you’re able to set up traps for your enemies ahead of time by using the in-game crafting menu.
Being a survival game, you can also craft items to help you survive. Finally, the enormous mechs scattered through the city can be commandeered. If you steal one, you’ll enter mech combat, which looks insane.
Left Alive is looking like an incredible survival title with elements of stealth, mech combat, crafting and more.
Left Alive is coming to PC and PS4 on March 5, 2019.
