Rainbow Six Siege’s Six Masters 2018 to take place at PAX Aus 2018

Ubisoft has announced the biggest Rainbow Six Siege esports event in Australian history will be taking place at PAX Aus 2018. The Six Masters is an invitational tournament that will feature four of the best Rainbow Six Siege team in the Asia Pacific region. 

Up for grabs is a $25,000 AUD prize pool with $15,000 going to first place, $6,000 to second and $2,000 each for third and fourth.

Three of the four teams are representing Australia with the fourth team hailing from Japan. 

Six Masters 2018

For this inaugural competition, the teams will be FNATIC, ViewSonic.DarkSided, Athletico and Nora-Rengo. FNATIC Coach and Manager Jayden ‘Dizzle’ Saunders described the Six Masters as an exciting event for the team and the Rainbow Six Siege community in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Ubisoft; 

The Rainbow Six esports scene continues to explode in popularity all over the world, and Australia and New Zealand are no exception.

The Six Masters represents the first step in our long-term plan to establish Rainbow Six as a mainstay esports title in the ANZ and APAC regions, and we’re incredibly excited to deliver this tournament to our passionate community.

Last week saw the ANZ playoffs of the Rainbow Six Pro League with FNATIC and Athletico were successful in qualifying for the Pro League Season 8 APAC finals to be held in Tokyo. Across two days, October 13-14, eight teams from Japan, Korea, South East Asia and Australia/New Zealand will compete for the chance to play at the Pro League Season 8 Global Finals. 

The Global Finals will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on November 17-18, 2018.

The Six Masters 2018 will take place on October 27 on the ESL Stage at PAX Aus. Sitting alongside the Pro League format, the Six Masters 2018 is a special event for the best teams in the region.
