Real life Assassin’s Creed Parkour course coming to Sydney in October

To celebrate the release of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on October 5, Ubisoft is offering fans a chance to become a real-life assassin. On October 5 and 6, Metcalfe Park in Sydney will be transformed into a full-size Assassin’s Creed Odyssey parkour course.

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey parkour course has been designed to reflect the Ancient Greece setting of the game. Featuring six different obstacles to tackle, the parkour course is designed to approximate stunts and moves that will be performed in the game.

According to Ubisoft, “Each daring obstacle will have fans running, climbing, swinging and balancing their way through the ruins and statues of Ancient Greece’s myths and legends.”

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Parkour Course

Any Assassin’s Creed parkour course wouldn’t be complete without a Leap of Faith. The final obstacle of the course is a seven meter Leap of Faith onto a landing platform below. Every participant who manages to complete the course will take home a very special, limited Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan Helmet.

In addition, attendees will be able to go hands-on with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on one of the 16 Xbox One X gaming pods on site.

Ubisoft Australia Managing Director Edward Fong said, “An Assassin’s Creed Obstacle course has been one of the most sought after requests by not only the Assassin’s Creed Community but all Australian gamers.

“We are extremely excited to be bringing the concept to life to celebrate the launch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on October 5.”

Finally, in addition to the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey parkour course, chance to win a Spartan Helmet and the ability to go hands-on with the game, attendees will have the chance to win one of three custom Xbox One X consoles.

One console will be awarded in the following categories;

  • Best Photo
  • Best Video
  • Best Cosplay

To be in with a chance to win the limited Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Xbox One X, upload your photo/video to Instagram on October 5 or 6 and use the hashtag #AssassinsCreedChallenge.

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey parkour course will be open from 10 am on October 5 and 9 am on October 6. It will close at 5 pm both days.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 5, 2018.
