PS4 system software version 5.56 released

A PS4 system software update was just released. System software version 5.56 is available to download and install right now.

If you have automatic updates turned on, the update should install automatically.

If you’re unable to download and install directly on your PS4, you can download the update here and install if using a USB drive.

So what exactly does system software 5.56 include?

As you’ve probably guessed, it’s the same old stability update. According to Sony, the update is;

Main features in system software update 5.56 (includes 5.55, 5.53-01, 5.53, and 5.50)

This system software update improves system performance.

The most recent major system update was 5.50 which added more parental controls, PlayStation Plus list in your library, Supersampling and more.
