Ubisoft has announced when fans will get to travel back in time and fight in Vietnam with Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness.

Redler is a character in the main campaign that gives the player a side-quest to track down all of the lighters he and his Vietnam buddies carried. The codes on the lighters unlock a special prepper stash.

Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness

Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness includes an all-new story and two brand-new modes unlocked after completion of the campaign.

  • Survivor Mode – Gives players a limited loadout for a more challenging playthrough
  • Action Movie Mode – A generous loadout delivers over-the-top action

In addition to the new story content, Far Cry 5 players have access to Vietnam assets already and can use these in their Map Builder maps.

Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness is the first of three post-launch content drops and will be followed by Lost on Mars and Dead Living Zombies which will be released in July and August respectively.

Hours of Darkness will launch on July 5.
