Fallout 4 is free-to-play on Xbox One right now

I’m not sure why, but Fallout 4 is free-to-play on Xbox One right now. Bethesda’s follow-up to the phenomenal Fallout 3 was released in 2015 and took players to The Commonwealth in 2287.

Set in and around what was once Boston, Fallout 4 tasks players with rescuing their child who was kidnapped after their husband or wife was murdered.

Fallout 4 introduced the development and management of settlements, a crafting system and full voice acting for the player-character. While Fallout 4 wasn’t quite as good as Fallout 3 it was still a worthy addition to the franchise.

Fallout 4 Free to Play

The free-to-play Fallout 4 doesn’t include any of the DLC and it’s not clear if this version is edited or has had content removed or locked out, but since it’s free, you might as well download it.

The download is 45.54GB which is the same as the version that costs $39.95 AUD

I’m currently downloading the free-to-play version and will update this post with any additional information I discover.

Fallout 4 is available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
